Six ways to get a clear picture of a property, from a full pre-purchase inspection to a quick walkthrough with your questions answered.

Residential Home Inspection

Residential Home Inspection

Buying a house, or living in one you want to know better? Alexander walks the whole property, from the roof covering and gutters down to the foundation, and checks the systems that keep it running: electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, the attic, the interior and the exterior. Your report explains each finding in plain words, with photos, and separates the urgent from the routine so you know what to deal with first.

  • Roof, attic and exterior
  • Structure and foundation
  • Electrical, plumbing and HVAC
  • Interior, windows and doors

11-Month Warranty Inspection

11-Month Warranty Inspection

A brand-new house still has defects: things missed on a busy job site, or problems that only show up after the first seasons of living in it. In the months before your builder’s one-year warranty ends, Alexander inspects the home and documents what he finds, so you can hand the builder a clear list while the repairs are still theirs to make.

  • Timed before the warranty ends
  • Clear list to send your builder
  • Findings documented in writing

Alexander has completed Virginia’s 8-hour New Residential Structure (NRS) training module for home inspectors. View the NRS training certificate (PDF)

Thermal Imaging Inspection

Thermal Imaging Inspection

An infrared camera shows differences in surface temperature that the eye can’t see. Those patterns can point to hidden moisture, gaps in insulation, air leaks around windows and doors, or electrical parts running hotter than they should. Book it as a standalone service or add it to a home inspection; anything the camera flags is noted in your report so it can be followed up.

  • Standalone or add-on
  • Moisture, insulation and air leaks
  • Findings noted in your report

Walk & Talk Consultation

Walk & Talk Consultation

Sometimes you need an experienced eye rather than a full report: a second look before an offer, a house you are thinking of renting, or a list of questions about your own home. On a Walk & Talk, Alexander walks the property with you, points out the visible concerns he sees and answers your questions on the spot. There is no written report, which keeps it quick and informal.

  • You walk the property together
  • Visible concerns pointed out on site
  • No written report

Pre-Listing Home Inspection

Pre-Listing Home Inspection

Selling? An inspection before you list shows you what a buyer’s inspector is likely to find. That gives you time to make repairs on your own schedule, collect contractor quotes, or price the house with the issues in mind, instead of facing surprises in the middle of negotiations.

  • Find issues before listing
  • Time to repair or get quotes
  • Fewer surprises during negotiations

Four-Point Inspection

Four-Point Inspection

A four-point inspection covers the four major systems of a home: roofing, electrical, plumbing and heating and air conditioning. Insurance companies often ask for one to judge the condition and age of these systems, especially on older houses. Alexander documents the condition of each system so you can pass it on to your insurer.

  • Roofing
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Heating and air conditioning
